Festival on the Niger in Ségou

"Festival au désert" in Timbuktu - Essakane

Created in January 2001, the desert Festival is held each year in Essakane, two hours of track from the city of Timbuktu to Mali. This festival is associated with key traditional Tuareg fetes like Takoubelt in Kidal and Temakannit in Timbuktu. Three days during which more than a dozen groups are invited from all over the world to present their art.
